Due to rising rents, New York City’s garment industry is been badly hit, the city has now proposed a a massive new location in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

Details on this project—which also includes production space for the city’s burgeoning film and television industry—are accompanied by several new renderings of what the city is calling the “Made in New York” campus at Bush Terminal.

From what we know of the proposal so far, the city will transform two existing buildings within the complex to create 200,000 square feet of manufacturing space. As for the fashion building, it will have high ceiling sound stages, space for virtual and augmented reality facilities, and support spaces for film and production companies.
