DKNY has become the latest on a list of global brands failure in grabbing the expected size of market in India. “DKNY is packing and exiting India,” said the executive of a mall, where the brand closed its store recently.

However, DLF Brands denied DKNY’s complete exit from Indian market. “DKNY has closed a few stores but will continue to operate four outlets all in DLF-owned malls in the National Capital Region.

However, the DKNY outlet in DLF’s Mall of India in Noida – among the ones which Timmy Sarna, head of DLF Brands, said will continue to operate – is closing, as per sources. Same is the case with most of DLF Place Mall in New Delhi.
