One of its Kinds, The Kalingar Project an initiative by Meghna Butani, Masaba Gupta, Sapna Bhavnani, and Joy Datta, amalgamating hair, fashion and art beautifully reached The Palladium Mall in Mumbai, from 24th July to 1st August 2011.

Big installations in the form of mannequins with big hair designed by Sapna and dressed by Masaba have been placed in the mall for public viewing. The installations together experts from three different areas of art – Make-up, Photography, and Fashion – to combine with Sapna Bhavnani’s expertise on Hair, to create an event where all elements are being exhibited on a single platform at Palladium.

This event will educate the audiences with the nuances of the world of fashion – hair, make up, wardrobe and photography – as we continue to make art more accessible and understandable to all.  Another objective of this display is to showcase the works of diverse young talents who can use this platform in future to showcase their work.
