After diving into the hedonistic abandon of Berlin for Spring Summer 2016, Gucci found a natural focus for its Fall Winter 2016 campaign in the eccentric subcultures of Tokyo. Whereas the raw and romantic collided in Berlin, Tokyo’s bold character offers a kinetic meeting of the traditional and the hyper-modern.

As the tribe of Gucci kids gives itself up to the chaotic lights and sounds of the city, it wanders from tea houses to pachinko parlours with carefree abandon. The ongoing dialogue between the traditional and the modern – between calm and chaos – that characterizes this vibrant place creates a psychedelic assault on the senses that is echoed beautifully in the vivacity of Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s creations.
