This Friday, June 25th, the James Beard Foundation and amfAR (The American Foundation for AIDS Research) will host an evening ripe with celebration, exquisite eats and distinguished company in a city rich with culinary genius and tradition;  San Francisco.  To honor the 40th anniversary of San Francisco Pride, the San Francisco Pride Soiree will donate 90% of all profits to the work of both foundations.  amfAR, a world leader in research, prevention and medical advancements for HIV/AIDS and the James Beard Foundation, a national leader recognized for its noble dedication to education and the preservation of American culinary tradition, have given lifetimes of commitment to their respective causes.

Hosted at the new SOMA gallery, 12 Gallagher Lane, the VIP reception will begin promptly at 6:00 P.M. followed by the main event, beginning at 7:00 P.M., in one of the most beautiful, artistic gallery spaces in the city.  James Beard Foundation award-winning chefs Gary Danko, Traci Des Jardins, Emily Luchetti and Craig Stoll lead the list in famous hosts along with Yank Sing Restaurant and Taste Catering Executive Pastry Chef, Yigit Pura.  Wine, cocktails, and champagne by Miura and Skyy Vodka will perfectly accompany signature bites by each chef as the night’s activities unfold.  Attendees for the evening include James Beard Foundation President Susan Ungaro, LGBT activist Anne Kronenberg, model Maggie Rizer, and Denise Hale.  The night promises to be one of the biggest sensations in San Francisco during Pride Week.
