CFDA’s released the NYFW: Men’s schedule to be held from July 10 – July 13, 2017, the upcoming edition will feature a mix of new and returning designers. On-site shows will be held at Skylight Clarkson Square and Cadillac House in west SoHo.

2017 CFDA Fashion Awards winner Raf Simons returns with his namesake label, showing the new collection on the evening of Tuesday, July 11. BOSS is also returning to NYFW: Men’s for season five, bringing its show to Tuesday afternoon.

New to the NYFW: Men’s schedule is Barbara Sanchez-Kane of Sanchez-Kane, Feng Chen Wang, Jack Miner of Hecho, Raul Lopez of LUAR, and Yixi Chen of C2H2 Los Angeles.

The crème de la crème of the capital was seen enjoying Paleo Food which has been introduced for the first time in the capital. In attendance were Socialites Rachna Kohli Sandhu, Madhu Chand, Harjinder Kaur, Sonu Wassan, Shefali Talwar, Padma Swarupa Bhagavatula, Bhavna Bassi, Neha Gaurav Chopra, Rooma Sekhri, Shikha Malhotra, Pooja Sethi, Anju Oberoi, Sonali Bhasin, Vandana Arora; Designers Shalini Chauhan, Kamini Singh, Deepali Bhasin; Royalty Nawab Kazim Ali Khan; Models Bardeep Dhiman, Manu Bora, Suraj Dhalia & Deepika Yadav amongst many others.

The Marc Cain fashion show in Berlin had the theme “Private Garden”. Taking pride of place at the top of the catwalk was a wall of lavender. Spherical pendant lights hanging down from the ceiling and the lawn-covered seating area further added to the perfect summer garden vibe. A highlight of the show was the live music act: Israeli newcomer duo Lola Marsh performed songs including their summer hit “Wishing Girl”.

Marc Cain’s new spring/summer collections consist of power looks for strong women. Influences come from the 1970s and 80s and exude an effortless style with a clash of romantic and functional, sporty elements resulting in creative, bold outfits.

Guided by prolific creativity, a tireless quest for perfection and an aspiration towards the sublime, Caroline Scheufele has given rise to a vast and opulent collection of High Jewellery themed around a dreamy vision of Asia, in which colours and fabrics weave their magic spell. It was based on these models that Chinese fashion designer Guo Pei continued the creative adventure, embarking the jewellery on a journey into her own world and putting together a Couture collection tailored to the same high standards.

Gucci’s Le Marchédes Merveilles collection of jewelry, explores the animal world by placing the feline head motifat center stage, is infused with a sense of romance and wonder. To bring to life this design sensibility, Gucci commissioned Thai illustrator Phannapast Taychamaythakool to create a book of imaginative fairytales, inspired by the magical, wondrous and enchanted fairy stories of the past, brought up to date through the artist’s personal aesthetic.

Using Le Marchédes Merveilles collection as a starting point, Phannapast illustrated a series of three fairy tales written by Aracha Cholitgul. The tales form three chapters of a story about a “WonderFactory” where animals create the marvellous jewels of this line.

For a limited time, selected Gucci stores around the world will feature displays constructed to resemble mini theatres in which Phannapast’s illustrations will form scenes. The jewelry collection will also be showcased in these installations presenting the entire range, which includes necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings and hand accessories in 18kt gold or sterling silver adorned with precious stones or colored enamels.

After creating a mini Eifel tower for Chanel show, Karl Lagerfeld showcased a dramatic fur collection for Fendi at Champs-Elysees theater at Paris Haute Couture FW 2018.

Lagerfeld’s “haute fourrure,” collection went technicolor this fall-winter with three-dimensional floral and flower infused with fur detailing.

A bright red poppy motif sheath was worn with a sienna coat and purple fur blooms. A turquoise cape dress sported oversize red fur flowers and ankle boots. Leading the runway were Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner in a loose and floaty, blue floral jumpsuit while the later wore a black tulip-shaped mini dress, with cape that curved round like a flower petal.

Graphic shapes with Color-blocking mixed in historic silken gowns was a Valentino show. Pierpaolo Piccioli, referred Italian painter Titian in the program notes and was seen in the silken hues in gentle whites, blues, reds and yellows.

Elie Saab went in search of the warrior queen for his medieval-tinged couture collection.The signature Saab silhouette, floor length and cinched-waist was given an historic twist in thick velvets, bands of fur, and intricate golden brocades.

The international top players in the eco fashion segment presented their new collections for S/S 2018 in the Shedhalle on the Funkhaus exhibition site. A total of 180 labels* provided an inspiring range of fashion.
