The highlight of day 2 at Milano Moda Uomo, being the new Neil Barrett headquarter at via Ceresio 7 is for the first time the backdrop of the Spring/Summer 2018 show. This space represents the evolution of the collection, created while the building was constructed around it and intimately influenced by its minimalism, linearity and precision. It underlines the singularity of creative vision; it is a definitive statement of the aesthetic of Neil Barrett.

Coming up next was the Christian Pellizzari man and woman show for Spring/Summer 2018, influenced by the Italian city, reproducing the pattern of Piazza San Marco’s pavement on shorts and jackets. The shapes were kept simple in the men’s lineup, given the richness of the motifs. “There is a bit of Tadzio in ‘Death in Venice’ [by Thomas Mann] in the collection,” Pellizzari said.
Whilst, Emporio Armani presented Asian motif for Spring/Summer ’18. As the Armani Teatro hosted the brand’s sartorial collection, along with outerwear. The designer closed his show by debuting the commercial for his new smartwatch, Emporio Armani Connected, starring Shawn Mendes.

Fabbrica del Vapore is the new Milano Moda Uomo location for menswear SS18, which will host a lot of fashion shows. One of the most anticipated events by the male worldMilan Fashion Week SS18, this time also include some women show in the calendar that goes 16 to 20 June 2017.

Among the participants for the first day it was intended only two parades: the Milan Fashion Graduate, event dedicated to the youngest of the Italian schools, Ermenegildo Zegna.

Zegna’s new creative director Alessandro Sartori, who took over from Stefano Pilati, presented his debut Summer collection, is clashing innocence and sensual masculinity in an exploration of conscious and sub-conscious fantasies. The linear backdrop of one of the historic courtyards of Milan’s Università Statale is the framework for a futuristic garden with tangerine lawns in a labyrinth of aesthetic compositions. Outdoor life unexpectedly meets the indoor throughout a fresh summery breeze which pervades the fluidity of fabrics and delicate silhouettes enlightened by a blaze of color.

Couture constructions fly and inflate, moving with a carefree attitude. The interplay of proportions privileges uncommon freedom and ease replacing classic shirts with deconstructed tops in various volumes, doubled tank tops and scoop neck sweaters play with active yet tailored trousers and joggers. The studied assembly of sport-inspired clothing is enriched by oversized handmade pockets, hoods and iconic Triple Stitch logos, synonymous with Couture. Fluid washed silks, Century Cashmere and pure mohair confer concrete weightlessness to the collection, while giro inglese and mesh jacquards, together with perforated and intarsia leather give hints of ethereal substance. The delicate color palette favors natural shades of walnut, signature Vicuna, geranium, freesia, lotus, cypress and bleached aqua, while optical whites meet unexpected color flashes. Even the accessories indulge in the laid-back pace of the season: technical Triple-stitch sandals, elasticated leather boots and iconic maxi-logo TIZIANO sneakers for footwear immediately available for purchase; and the super-soft evolution of PELLE TESSUTA in new, colorful knitted effects for bags, baseball hats and visors.
