Emeralds, sapphires, rubies … Precious stones of myriad sizes adorn the new one-of-a-kind pieces in the Dior Grand Soir Collection presented by Dior Joaillerie at Baselworld. With the prestigious “Swiss Made” label, these watches become precious jewels inspired by Monsieur Dior’s beloved gardens and flowers.

Dior Horlogerie has paid tribute to the heritage of the Maison since 2010 with the Dior Grand Soir collection. These one-of-a-kind pieces bring together watchmaking expertise and Dior’s signature refinement. Creativity and colors are highlighted by delicately worked cases and dials.

Each of the watches has a strap in midnight blue fabric designed with undulating lines, evoking Monsieur Dior’s taste for this shade. The eight pieces in the collection are equipped with a quartz movement with adjustment corrector and polished gold case-backs with soft, organic shapes.

Christopher Kane second pop-up shop is going to be at 15 Old Bond Street. The space, which spans 538 square feet, has previously been home to fellow Kering brand BottegaVeneta, and to Tod’s.

A Kane spokesperson said the pop-up will stock key pieces from the runway shows as well as commercial ready-to-wear and accessories. The brand is planning various cultural events throughout the year, including collaborations with different groups and local partners. There will also be product launches and other events.

Old Bond Street, is home of other Kering brands such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Boucheron and Alexander McQueen

These 8 designers are now invited to meet the members of the Jury at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, on June 16, 2017. The Jury will select the winner at the end of this exceptional day.
The three recipients of this Prize will be given the opportunity to join the design studios of three Maisons of the LVMH group for one year.

Laura Vassar Brock and Kristopher Brock for Brock Collection, Gabriela Hearst, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia for Monse, Virgil Abloh for Off-White, and Sander Lak for SiesMarjan have been nominated for the Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent.

The International Award, given for a designer’s creative contribution to the international fashion stage, will be presented to DemnaGvasalia for Vetements and Balenciaga.

Mumbai-based celebrity designer Archana Kochhar, was awarded the World Icon Award at Dubai, for her extra ordinary designing abilities and contribution to the world of fashion. Princess of Thailand Mom LuangRajadarasriJayankura, Prince of Dubai Sheikh Nahyan Bin HamdanBin Mohammed AL Nahyan were also present during the award ceremony.

Renowned personalities have been chosen from countries like Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Dubai, USA and South Africa for their extraordinary participation in the field of education, society, culture, fashion amongst others.
