Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) announced three accessory designers, to debut at the upcoming India Fashion Week, namely Mine of Design by Sahai Ambar Pariddi, Valliyan by Nitya and Vasundhara will add sparkle to the runway under interesting themes.

“Memoir” by Sahai Ambar Pariddi captures the compelling magic of the sea from the iridescent pearls, corals, shells to the vintage coins, displaying their magnificent colours that get reflected on the surreal waves hitting the shores.

On the other hand, Vasundhara’s collection “Au Naturel” will take you on a ride to the wilderness by integrating natural rocks, filigree leaves, twigs, branches, insects and bugs in elaborate forms and patterns allowing you to adorn yourself with the beauty of nature.

The past meets the present in “Modern Mughals” a collection by Nitya of the label Valliyan, which pays homage to the luxurious aura of the Mughal dynasty. Nitya recreates intricate motifs in a contemporary style to give a sense of grandeur and opulence.

medRussian Fashion Council will launch the first Fashion Futurum Conference, during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, to held on 14-15 March 2016 in Moscow. Over 30 executive level insiders from 12 countries and the world’s top 4 fashion capitals will gather under one roof at Manege to define the current trends in fashion industry and how it affects the future.

Fashion Futurum Conference is to be a platform for both Russian and international industry leaders, visionaries and key fashion players to share their experiences and views on the current state of fashion industry around the world and its role as a driver of creative economy. It could help to revolutionize the Russian fashion economy which should play the significant role on USD 60 billion textile and apparel market in Russia. The show encompassed the efforts of final year students portraying their 12 conceptual collections conveying their design thoughts drawn from out of the box themes like Pop Art, Psychedelic Shiva, Yin Yang, Bohemian Tribal with Shruti Shetty‘s collection “Pre Natural” declared to have won the first prize by the jury.

Moving on to day 3 of Milan fashion week ready to wear women’s, on first comes first was Diesel Black Gold, for fall, Andreas Melbostad reworked the brand’s signature industrial, utilitarian aesthetic to incorporate a nocturnal, urban attitude with strong appeal of leather, quilted nylon blouses, denim, felt contrasted the richness of velvet, lurex & sequin​s forming the dominant feature.

The generous-cut outerwear shows new hybrid poncho-inspired pieces, where a biker leathers jacket and a felt pea coat, feature built-in quilted nylon blankets. An array of cropped jackets, crafted and cut in boxy, graphic silhouettes, get a delicate makeover with opulent embroideries and a cascade of shimmering appliqués.

The waistline, emphasized by belts, is high. Sharp pleats inject movement for a dynamic feel. Inspired by bombers, zippered dresses feature vertical sequined paneling or reveal sporty rib knit trims. Cool wool and flannel skirts embellished with hardware details wrap around the body. A new A-line Parka style skirt, adorned with sequins features a stepped hem.

Giorgio Armani embraced the digital language of today’s youth for Emporio Armani, creating his own emojis out of circles, triangles and squares in yellow, pink and green. His fall/winter 2016/17 geometrical motifs graced handbags, were printed on blouses and became colorful broaches.
Jackets were cropped and disciplined, with a double-breasted pea coat a green high-neck sweater showing off from the hem matched with pixelated print trousers. Evening looks sparkled, in sheer cropped tops with a collage of shapes worn with Bermuda shorts.

Aigner showcased a collection of army greens, animal prints, metallic shines and powder pink blushes. Linear geometric graphics came from Donatella Versace which was showcased through Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Jourdan Dunn, Karlie Kloss, Natasha Poly, Adriana Lima, Irina Shayk and Mariacarla Boscono. Tod’s by Alessandra Fachinetti had pleated skirts and biker jackets and tailored jackets and fur-collared coats in glinting metal studs.

The weekend day started with Bottega Veneta showcasing long and lean silhouettes. Opening with exquisite fluid cashmere tailoring,Tomas Maier known for experimentation with technique, showcased cashmere tailoring, dresses with needle-punched fabrics and irregular beading. High up was Knitwear, in the form of long coats, trousers and dresses.

Philipp Plein models came in sneakers, in a dim lighting as the designer showcased mostly black clothes, feline dresses with cutouts and slits, catsuits and slim pants with crystals, fur coats and vests with a clutch bag or a skateboard. Blumarine line consisted of lavish use of fur , belt buckles, handbag to heels. There were also rose patterns printed on chiffon dresses, silk blouses and cropped jeans, or used as appliqués on lace.  While Jil Sander had strong-shouldered coats and jackets in sturdy fabrics there was also shimmering material used in T-shirt dresses.

The penultimate day at Milan and we move to Paris from here had Missoni’s Angela Missoni presenting world-class knitwear in oversize cardigans, tunics and sweaters worn with extra-long scarves, bare legs with sneakers. There were zigzags on leggings, structured cardigans, wrap-robe sweaters and track pants and a blanket wrap in comprehensive stripes only to end with black dresses.

Trussardi had pants and blazers in corduroy and printed velvet, maxi dress layered under double breasted blazer and oversized knits paired with slipdresses and suede skirts.

Salvatore Ferragamo was geometric, very rigorous, very constructed yet playful with horizontal bands of color in tiers of ribbed and pleated knitwear, to tunics and trouser combinations with thick vertical color blocking with a series of outerwear in black-and-white checks and stripes.The silhouette was slim with big buttons on cropped bodices, contrasting zigzag ribbons and rows of vertical zippers .
