250The French luxury leather and lifestyle accessories brand, Hermès continues to make history in its bag auction. A 30 cm diamond matte Himalayan Nilo crocodile Birkin bag, featuring as many as 242 diamonds with a total weight of 9.84 carats, was auctioned at a whooping amount of $185,000, at Heritage Auctions in Beverly Hills.

The event marks the second most expensive bag sold at auction, after the shiny rouge 30 cm Porosus diamond Birkin that was sold for $203,150 at a Heritage auction in Dallas, 2011.

Meanwhile, the auction included as many as 480 luxurious and the most refined quality handbags from brands like Hermès, Chanel and Louis Vuitton to name a few, and was a part of the Heritage ‘Luxury Accessories Signature Auction’ series. However, both the buyer and the consigner were present at the auction, the names of whom remain anonymous.

The twelve year old Victoria and David Beckham’s son, Romeo Beckham bags the second big modelling project of his career, as he appears as the new face of Burberry’s Christmas campaign. The shining star shining star was previously seen with the brand’s spring/summer 2013 campaign, alongside Edie Campbell and Charlie France, for which he was famed worldwide.

580Meanwhile, the news was broken through Burberry’s twitter page, where a picture of Romeo Beckham attired in Burberry’s signature trench coat and checked cashmere muffler is shown. The entire campaign has been shot in London and features many more actors dancing to music.

Following the footsteps of some of the highly acclaimed models who have been a part of Burrberry’s campaign, including Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne, Romeo’s campaign will be released this November.

Florence :

Following on from its exhibition dedicated to historic works, Gucci Museo will now focus on Camille Henrot, the French artist born in 1978.

Her work, which embraces many artistic disciplines and theories of knowledge, utilises a very broad range of media: film, video, illustration, photography, sculpture, installation… The Gucci Museo exhibition in Florence will be showing Grosse Fatigue, a work first exhibited in 2013, at the 55thVenice Biennale, where she won the Silver Lion.

580In conjunction with Grosse Fatigue, Gucci Museo is also showing two of Camille Henrot’s sculptural pieces, which make use of varied materials, such as the industrial items , or flowers, first shown at the 2012 Triennale at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris.

Off late Wills Lifestyle announced Rohit Bal as the Grand Finale designer for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015 edition.

Taking India to an unprecedented international level of fashion, Meghalaya based designer Daniel Syiem showcased his collections at the Fashion International Show during the recently concluded London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015. With the privilege of being selected among the six designers alone, for the fashion show, the designer effectively displayed Indian roots and fashion ideologies in-what is known to be-one of the most popular fashion weeks of the world.

580Speaking of the collection showcased, Daniel enthusiastically exhibited creations inspired from his personal and rich heritage, nature and wilderness of North East India. Going eco-friendly and keeping the sustainability factor intact, the collections were made from the most natural, hand woven and organic textiles and fabrics. The colour palette for the collection was equally mild and awe-inspiring, including turmeric, violet, olive, indigo and ivory to name a few.

300Besides, the looks were also accessorised sober and simplistic jewellery made from wood, bamboo and pinecone, which over and all added the required grace and originality to the collection. Comprising of exuberant shirts, shirt dresses, jumpsuits, crop shirts, tops, sleek dresses and flare bottom pants amongst others, the collection was an ideal casual and semi-formal wear.
