30th April 2014 saw the global launch of UN’s first ever Bollywood style human rights campaign video. The “Free and Equal” campaign video stars UN Equality champion & actress Celina Jaitly who also makes her debut as a singer on the clip’s catchy soundtrack- “uthe sabke kadam” which has been remixed by Neeraj Sridhar of Bombay Vikings.

Joining hands with the United Nations for this initiative, designer Anita Dongre designed a stunning look for the UN ambassador and equality champion ,Celina Jaitly. As per the brief shared, I have used colors of lime green and hot pink beautifully evoking a bold, vibrant yet serene and calm vibe. The color and silhouette dichotomy symbolised the “Free & Equal” spirit of the campaign. We worked on an indo fusion look and teamed a lime green sheer choli with gota patti work paired with a hot pink embroidered lehenga skirt and completed the look with a cummerbund and jewellery from my Pinkcity collection,”said Anita.

While UN equality champion Celina Jaitly says, It’s been wonderful to see this project come together, and to see so many talented creative people getting involved, I am very thankful for the wonderful support,
the more people watch this video and can share it with everyone they know, the further our message of acceptance and equality will spread.

The Japanese fashion label is back to mesmerise its fans with its all new fragrance called ‘Serpentine’. In an attempt to honour Serpentine Galleries‘new Serpentine Sackler space designed by Zaha Hadid, the brand collaborates with the London institution to create ‘Serpentine’ with its bottle exclusively designed by Tracy Emin.

The event serves to be unique in the history of the brand as it is the first launch in an on-going artist commission project for the Comme des Garçons scent line.

Where the bottle has been designed in a completely artistic point of view, the scent is a blend of iris leaf, juniper wood and nutmeg and reflects Serpentine’s location amongst the green grass and fresh flowers at Kensington Gardens.

Having already been available in New York and London, the perfume will be on sale worldwide from the 5th of May.

The century-and-a-half-old French luxury accessories brand, ‘Moynat’ enters the Dover Street Market of the US in an interesting way. Keeping the Dover Street Market in mind, the pop up store possesses a funky set up with a bicycle equipped with a luxurious picnic trunk.

Pauline Moynat, the only female trunk maker in history, founded the company in 1849, Paris. Later purchased by LVMH head Bernard Arnault, the brand’s latest store is focused on creating timeless, elegant bags that honour the codes and the level of craftsmanship on which the company was originally built.

Besides, the store also comprises of bags available exclusively at the Dover street, like the two limited-edition, hand-painted versions of the brand’s Quattro tote: one with an apple (a nod to The Big Apple), the other with a Paris skyline.

Along with its rare, special and one-of-a-kind placement at the Dover Street Market, the bags this time have been focused on making Moynat feel relevant and “cool” for today’s consumers.
