The co- founder of Jimmy Choo, Tamara Mellon confirms the launch of her eponymous lifestyle brand, part funded by Carphone Warehouse founder David Ross in November.

The highly-anticipated label will feature women’s shoes, handbags and clothes including jumpsuits, cigarette pants, structured jackets,  trench coats and Mellon’s favourite leopard prints. Aimed at the busy working woman, Mellon hopes the brand will rethink the traditional retail landscape through its “buy now, wear now” ethos that will see winter coats sold in September as opposed to the traditional July.

The brand’s debut offerings will be unveiled at New York’s Pace Gallery and later on at her official website and at stand-alone Tamara Mellon stores, which will open in New York and London in the final quarter of 2014.

Mr. Sheikh Aftab Arshad, Asad Amin Sheikh, Asif Amin Sheikh of Arshadsons from Pakistan will be the first to launch Kimaya’s eponymous label KARMIK, Indian Multi-designer fashion house in Pakistan/Lahore, by end August. As part of this master-franchise deal with Lahore-based fashion retailer Arshadsons, the plan is to open six stores in cities such as Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad over the next three years, followed by smaller towns.
Mr. Sheikh Aftab Arshad, partner Arshadsons, said “We feel that Pakistan is a brand conscious market and high quality products at reasonable prices are in great demand. Indian Designers and garments are very popular in Pakistan; however the only source of their availability is Dubai. We spotted this void between the demand and supply and hence are bringing KARMIK to Pakistan. Our main aim is to use all the best marketing practices to ensure that the brand becomes a household name in Pakistan as we have been able to achieve the same for Quiz.”

Revelling in this achievement, Mr. Pradeep Hirani, owner of KARMIK said “We have inked a new page in history of Indian fashion through this deal with Pakistan’s leading fashion retailers and master franchisers Arshadsons. We are proud and confident of our association. The plan now is to take KARMIK to other neighbouring countries like Nepal and Bangladesh, and to include few Pakistani and Dhaka designers to our repertoire of Top Indian designers for KARMIK.”

KARMIK is a designer-wear retail revolution which houses leading designers like Rohit Bal, JJ Valaya, Anamika Khanna, Neeta Lulla, Rocky S to Rina Dhaka, Ritu Beri, Shantanu & Nikhil, Ranna Gill, Kavita Bhartia,
