Gucci SS13 KidswearThe sheer luxury of Gucci travels to the charmingly nonsensical world of kids by unveiling its latest Spring Summer 2013 kidswear collection of late.

Taking its inspiration from the light hearted and fun atmosphere of a long weekend by sea, a holiday marked by moments of play and leisure with beach and garden full of multi colored balloons, the stylish and versatile collection comes as a new interpretation of the Flora motif, dedicated to Gucci’s most fashionable girls and boys for the summer.

For boys, collection is comprised of lightweight denim shirts and pants; classic seersucker in blue and white stripes; suede biker jacket; and quilted soft nappa leather piece with a sport mesh. The color palette ranges from navy blue, azul and white to more vibrant hues like banana yellow, grass green, poppy red and surf blue.

On the other hand, girlswear plays on the contemporary stylization of the flora motif, worked in an all-over version on muslin or degradè on silk, while the chicest dresses are distinguished by 3D embroideries featuring precious bouquets. Pop-chic and charming, the star shaped openwork on the biker jacket and shorts in soft nappa is also found on the sneakers and ballerinas. This sky-inspired detail appears on nylon jackets, swimsuits, sarongs and bags.

The color palette follows the harmony of nature, where tones of beige and white join different shades of blue like cornflower, sky blue and midnight blue. The Flora pattern lends itself to delicately different shades of pink and other pastels, continuing on to the liveliness of watermelon red.

Olsen Twins, Mary Kate and Ashley, or ‘Trollsen Twins’, as PETA has rechristened them recently, are in the news again for a furry bag from their fashion line The Row.

The duo who recently grabbed the Womenswear Designer of the Year Award by the Council of Fashion Designers of America is going through PETA bashing for using animal pelts to create a $ 16,900 backpack.

In a statement to Eonline.com, PETA vehemently put that what Olsens lack in creativity, they try to make up for in shock value. It added, “Sadly, it’s the foxes, calves and alligatorswho often have the fur ripped off them while they are conscious and able to feel pain, and pay the dearest price.”
