The laid back summery beach side Saturday morning stroll marked Trussardi’s latest Spring Summer 2013 collection.

The loose silhouettes in earthy tones ruled most of the collection featuring double breasted jackets, waistcoats, polo tees, loose linen shirts with pockets at the flank, zippers, shorts and pants with jail stripes. The color palette ranged from neutral hues of green, brown grey and blue to yellow.

The accessories came in the form of leather duffle bags, suitcases, totes, hats, scarves and loafers.

Evoking the futuristic and anachronistic punk world of 1980s, the Diesel Black Gold unveiled its latest Spring Summer 2013 menswear collection.

Reinterpreting it with a fresh approach for todays’ men with a rock chic attitude, the collection sees masculinity tailoring mingling with military and mechanical references. A play with details, proportions and high-waisted silhouettes define the collection.

Steampunk inspiration is accented with several strong technological and functional elements like jewellery buttons, metallic lace eyewear, bold zips, mechanical flowers, embroidery in tailored suiting and classic shirts. The use of fabrics like leather, suede, satin, denim jacquard and wool screams of eclecticism.

The colour palette is a playful melange of black navy and different shades of white, exploring the indigo tones, with clashes of intense pop-up colours – red, green, bright mustard, yellow and electric blue.

High on unconventional quotient Mugler came up with its aquatic themed Spring Summer 2013 menswear collection.

The runway of Milan of late saw Dolce & Gabbana presenting its eclectic Spring Summer 2013 menswear collection with colors and prints galore.

The collection exuding a laid back summery vibe featured men in shorts, from high-waisted pleated to frescoed ones. The Renaissance frescoes seen on the Venetian churches came alive on shirts and jackets creating a kaleidoscopic sight.

Apart from these Renaissance motifs, the horizontal stripes remained a permanent detail till the end of the show. From shorts to shirts to simple tees, the stripes appeared in combinations of orange, blue, white and red.

Romancing with the atmosphere of open spaces conjuring up a sensation of freedom, Canali unveils its latest Spring Summer 2013 menswear collection.

The collection features an assortment of garments in super light cotton and silk, with sharp lines but impalpable colors like yellow, sky blue, water, rose pink and wisteria featured in loosely flowing t-shirts.

The classic Hollywood style also makes inroads to this collection featuring dress styles of so many classic and film noir movies that wrote the history of American cinema in 50s and 60s.

From that period, for its unlined or semi-lined jackets, the collection borrows rounded peak lapels, constructed but soft shoulders, rounded breast pockets in pure tailor made style, and a contoured cut with fitted waist, presented in both single-breasted models with peak lapels and six-button double-breasted versions.

Classic graphical pinstripes have become light linen fabrics, accessories are light and understated, and the trenches have been transformed into dust coats. Also making a runway appearance is Canali’s signature Kei jacket, which demonstrates its versatility again and again, playfully choosing strong colours, striking colour combinations and an elegance that is always somewhat outspoken to faithfully reproduce the style of a city that seems like one big stage.
