Well, in any case, if not that much-talked-about Oscar black thigh-high slit gown, you can get to see her jewellery collection; going to be displayed for very first time in Monaco, France, between July 15 to August 15, 2012.

The actress’s collaboration with jewellery designer Robert Procop will unveil the Style of Jolie collection. The collection will be opened for first time for public viewing and includes pieces pearl-shaped citrine and cushion-cut necklace, along with green beryl table earrings. 

The collection will also be distributed in selected outlets in US, China and Turkey, and all the proceeds will go the Education Partnership for Children in Conflict.

Indian Celebs at Cannes 2012Though the Cannes Film Festival 2012 concluded but the celebrities dressed to the nines are making the rounds on the internet while turning out to be a juicy gossip stirring the living room conversations, and bedroom fantasies.

Bollywood had its fair share at Cannes as some of the sought-after Indian celebrities walked the red carpet in their modish best. The closing ceremony had Arjun and Mehr Rampal sporting the spiffy look, where Arjun wore a bandhgala jacket with jodhpurs by Rohit Bal, Mehr appeared in a Tarun Tahiliani sari. The goth-quotient came squeaking on the same day as Sonam Kapoor walked the red carpet in a black tulle gown by Alexander McQueen. Also adding a dash of glamour was Aishwarya Rai in Elie Saab gown.

Damiani Opens in DelhiThe storied jewellery label, crafting high-end pieces since 1924, forayed into the Indian market with the launch of its first flagship boutique at The Oberoi, New Delhi, of late.

Housing a wide choice of classic and high-end lines, the 616-square-foot boutique is done in warm and intense shades of natural tones — bronze, gold and copper – and offset with digital screens that tease the eyes with the glamorous jewels that lie in store.

The exterior embellished with 19windows that showcase Damiani’s exquisite jewelry, the store brings together its traditional appearance with ornate grills, featuring the Damiani signature ‘D’.

Versace Plans an IPOThe family-owned fashion house Versace, run by Donatella Versace with her brother Santo and daughter Allegra, considers going public.

In a recent revelation, it came out that the Italian fashion house has tapped Goldman Sachs to devise all possible financial options, and figuring out the way to hit the stock exchange.

On the heels of Prada and Salvatore Ferragamo who successfully went public last year, the recently restructured Versace is reportedly evaluating possible alternatives and talking to advisers and banks to come up with an IPO.

Mod’art India – a part of a Parisian fashion school Mod’art International Paris, presented the graduating fashion show in Mumbai and Delhi, respectively, of late.

The shows witnessed the third year graduating students of the institute showcasing their collections under the theme ‘An Evening in Paris’ – An Annual Fashion Show a la mode in Delhi whereas the city of Mumbai had a glittering show, choreographed by model Shamita Singha

On showcasing were interesting designs by Vatika Gupta, Devki Advanii and Amanjot Bajwa who played with the themes like Othello and individuality of girls. 

About her association with the show, ShamitaSingha said, “We sisters love working with Mod’art every year as it is the most avant-garde institute in the country, churning out some really talented designers. The management too is very easy going and is always open to new ideas.”

The shows were well-attended by who’s who of the tinsel town including Kunal Khemu, Gavin Miguel, Carol Gracias, Gauhar Khan, Arpita Khan, Nihaar Pandya, Prashant Chadda and Suved Lohia amongst others.
