In a short span of two years since the launch of their diffusion label AZARA, the designer duo has risen up the charts consistently and smoothly. Alpana and Neeraj are also behind a cutting edge prêt label “alpananeeraj” which caters to a fashion forward clientele. Inspired by immaculate detailing and striving for a hint of surprise in their creations, the duo’s clothes are targeted at a young crowd who love edgy and sexy designs. They are often applauded for their quirky and kitsch yet very wearable designs. Intricate textures, unusual embroideries and bold prints often make an appearance in the garments of this designer pair.

Both Alpana & Neeraj got their training in the craft at the very prestigious National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi. At the tender age of 6, Alpana’s fascination for clothes begun. She loved dressing up her Barbie dolls and insisted her mother to make clothes for them.

While Alpana confesses to have fallen in love with the world of fashion as a little girl, the realization of love for the craft came much later for Neeraj. His sister went to NIFT and it was her assignments and work that first inspired him. It was then that he decided to get enrolled for a fashion course himself and rest as they say, is history.

The designer duo has the distinction of dressing the likes of Elizabeth Hurley early in their career which only reinforces the universal appeal of their creations. Alpana & Neeraj represented India with aplomb at the tenth anniversary of the Milan Fashion Week where their collection was received very well with great success and rave reviews.

The duo is heavily inspired by nature and it reflects clearly in their creations. Their product range is varied and caters to wide range of clientele. It encompasses everything from dresses, tunics, skirts, tops to gowns and drapes. Recently, the pair has diversified into accessories mainly shoes that have been received with acclaim.
